Flex Base Remote Control System Options
There are two key components to this wireless remote control system, the transmitter and the receiver. Each complete system comes with one of each as standard as well as a lanyard, storage pouch, labels for the buttons, output cable for PC connection and instruction manual in CD format.
Furthermore there is a choice of two different receivers and four transmitter control variations.
It is also possible for two operators with cloned handsets to control the hoist (not at the same time) Operator 1 will need to press the pitch button (if programmed) to transfer the control to operator 2.
There are 62 programmable channels thanks to the advanced RF controls. The system boasts a dual micro-processor with 32bit CRC and hamming code, this ensures all coding is fault free.
Each system has a unique coded address and serial number with over 20 million unique 20bit addresses. This ensures no interference from any devices with similar systems.
The Transmitters
Each transmitter is rated at IP66 and is totally sealed for optimum protection. Powered by 2 AA batteries you get around 100 operating hours thanks to the low power consumption of the units.
When it comes to the 4 variations it really is simply the amount of programmable buttons. You can choose from 4, 6, 8 or 12 buttons, your choice will depend on how you wish to operate your hoist. For simple operation the 4 button option will usually suffice. One each for up, down, forwards and reverse.
Multiple hand sets can be cloned to use with the same receiver.
They are programmed by using the buttons at the front and the dip switches at the back to suit your needs. The downloadable manuals explain the process.
The Receivers
There is a choice of 2 different receivers which fit to the hoist you wish to operate. The fitting is quite straightforward and can be configured to suit your needs. Onboard diagnostics and output LED’s provide an easy means to troubleshoot any issues as well as giving you the status information.
The MRX Receiver Unit is ideal for use with the 4 or 6 button hand held transmitters and the best option for controlling your electric hoist. There are 2 mounting options for the MRX, fit directly to the control panel of the hoist or on the main housing. An additional bonus is that it will auto-adapt to the control voltage from 9-36 VDC- 24-48 VAC and 40-240 VAC.
The Flex base receiver unit is recommended for the 8 and 12 button transmitter controllers to add additional options to the MRX. This configuration works best with overhead crane systems.
