Why use the ATEX C4 Manual Chain Hoist
This ATEX rated manual chain block meets British, Australian, USA and South African standards.
All components which have the potential to cause a spark have been copper plated to prevent this type of hazard.
Both suspension hook and load hook are copper plated along with the chain stripper, chain anchor and rollers, thus preventing any sparks which could potentially cause the ignition of hazardous materials.
This type of lifting hoist with its ATEX rating makes it a great choice for oil, gas, chemical and water treatment facilities. All of which will have potentially explosive atmospheres often due to flammable fumes.
Features of the C4 Atex Rated Chain Block
The copper plated hooks incorporate safety latches and also overload markers which can be found on either side of the hook throat. This makes it easy to see if the hoist has been overloaded or misused.
There is a rather unique hand chain joiner to enable quick joining of the hand chain securely. Grade 316L stainless steel is used for the hand chain.
Tested for suitability for cross hauling or fleeting tasks up to 60 degrees from vertical without the need to reduce the WLL. The C4 chain hoist has two pawls and a light load capability, (tested to 2% of WLL) lifts below 10% are not recommended.
Other features include corrosion protection for some internal parts, BS EN818-7 compliant zinc plated load chain for a 3 metre height of lift supplied as standard but up to 12 meters is available for online purchase.
