About the Tiger ATEX Lever Hoist
Although the majority of the specifications and dimensions are the same as for the Tiger PROLH and SS19 hoists the ATEX rated version has some specific additions and complete swap out of components that could easily cause sparking and subsequently an ignition to combustible materials.
The components which are changed are the top and bottom hooks, hand wheels, grip rings, end anchorage and load chain guides. The standard parts are swapped for copper plated versions due to copper being spark resistant. Additionally all fixings, are stainless steel.
Other key features include marine specific friction discs and a brake system protected from outside contamination. Both the hoist body and the load chain have a corrosion protected finish. The lever/handle is coated with a phthalate free rubberised covering.
Optional extras include stainless steel load chain, chain containers and overload protection devices. So let us know if you require any of these options.
Certified under the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU this ratchet lever hoist has an ATEX rating Ex II GD c IIC T4 IIIC T1 35°C.
ATEX Ratchet Hoist Options
There are a number of options when it comes to the Tiger ATEX ratchet hoist. Firstly you can choose the main body type which can be either the PROLH or the SS19. The full details and features of these hoists can be found on the relevant product pages. The main specifications and dimensions are the same, the only difference is the SS19 comes with a 3 metre height of lift as standard whilst the PROLH has a 1.5 metre HOL as standard. It is possible to specify a different length to suit your requirements, just get in touch. The other key difference is that the SS19 is designed with optimum corrosion resistance for sub-sea use, the PROLH has a more standard finish and is designed for professional use.
More ATEX Rated Hoisting Options
It’s not just lever hoists that can be found in the ATEX rated genre; chain blocks can also be found with ATEX certification.
