Subsea Shackle Load Cell Applications
This sub sea shackle load cell can be utilized in many places, but more specifically in submerged and marine environments. Typical uses include subsea moorings, monitoring the anchors tension, sub sea towing/monitoring and cable recovery or repairs.
The load cell shackle is more compact when compared to standard tension load cells and thus take up less room in a rigging set up.
Key Features of the Load Cell Shackle for Sub Sea Use
Rugged in design this shackle type load cell comes complete with 20 metres of sub sea rated 4 core twisted pair cable as standard although longer lengths can often be provided on request.
The face and barrel are sealed with an ‘O’ ring and pressure tested to 250bar. The shackle load cell can be used in temperatures ranging from -20 to +60 degrees C.
The pin, bobbin and nut are made from 17-4PH stainless steel with a 350-1000 bridge resistance depending on size.
You can find more details about the signal processors used, calibration data and bigger amplifiers for longer cables in the specifications above.
Digital Display.
This particular shackle load cell for sub sea use can be used with the standard hand held display (available separately) which cable connects to the load cell.
Using such a display enables quick and easy monitoring of your loads and can be somewhat customised to suit (more details in the specifications)
Features include data logging via USB, pulse measurements for speed and distance measuring RS232 serial or 0-5 analogue output and just 3 AA type batteries provide up to 150 hours of constant use.
Lifting Hoists Direct has a range of lifting equipment designed for sub sea use. Including lever hoists, chain blocks and even ROV controllable hoists.
