About Corrosion and the added protection

Firstly corrosion is a naturally occurring process due to environmental influences and many types of metal will corrode over differing lengths of time and could be accelerated depending on the environment in which it is situated. The moisture in the air is a key component to corrosion as are certain chemicals and other substances. When metals start to corrode the surface will pit, rust and/or crack.
