Key features of the CP-C4 Corrosion Protected Chain Block
The CP-C4 corrosion protected chain block gives it 500+ hours of protection for use in briny conditions. Additionally it has been salt spray tested according to ASTM B117.
Stainless steel is known for its great anti-corrosion properties Therefore stainless fixings are used throughout the hoist. All components within this William Hackett hoist are corrosion protected for additional peace of mind.
The housing for the top and bottom hooks are bolt connected using nyloc nuts with cap head screws. The hooks themselves have safety latches that are forged for heavy duty tasks.
Twin pawls are a standard feature for double the safety and furthermore the load chain meets European standards.
Corrosion Resistant Manual Hoist Options
There are a number of options you can choose from for this CP-C4 corrosion protected chain block /manual hoist. There are three configuration options with a single hook suspension option; low headroom option with a combined push trolley or a low headroom with geared trolley option.
With these configurations comes a choice of chain, these are;
-
Calibrated Grade T (8) to BS EN818-7 zinc plated load chain us a zinc plated hand chain
-
T(8) Calibrated Grade to BS EN818-7 DT9 corrosion coated load chain plus a Dacromett corrosion coated hand chain

Calibrated Grade S (6) 316L stainless load chain, hand chain as well as the bottom hook (hook for 500kg & 1000kg models only)
Other options include adding overload protection for additional safety.
These hoists undergo stringent testing and performance checks to ensure they are up to the task. They have a minimum breaking load at 4 times the stated working load limit. They have been 100% proof tested at 1.5 times the working load limit and it is capable of a light load at 2% or the WLL. Therefore you can rest assured that high safety levels are prevalent.
The load chain anchor and end stop has been tested to a minimum of 2.5 times the WLL, showing no restrictions to the gears or the brake system.
