Key Features of the Delta Electric Chain Hoist
The Delta DTS electric chain hoist although not as compact as the Delta DEH electric hoist, has larger lifting capabilities. The smallest model lifts up to 0.25 tonne or 250kg then you have the option of a 500kg, 1000kg, 2000kg, 3000kg or a 5000kg model.
The 6 metres lifting height comes as standard which is double the usual 3 metres you get on other branded hoists. With the dual speed option load movement is more controllable. The slower speed is great for more delicate loads whilst the higher speed will quicken the lifting task, thus maximising output.
These easy to use hoists are powered by 3 phase, they are easy to operate thanks to the hand held pendant control which has a long 6 metre cable. For even easier operation and from longer distances you can choose the option of a radio remote control system which, with an unobstructed path can be operated from as far as 100 metres.
Highly reliable Siemens contactors are used over more modern circuitry so that in the event of failure/breakdown (it happens occasionally!) each contactor can be changed individually, this is the quickest, easiest and most cost effective method when compared to changing a complete circuit board.
More Hoist Benefits
There are numerous benefits to the DTS, not only is this a cost efficient powered lifting hoist there are some great features as standard. Plug and play connectability enable quick changes for suspension and operation modes. Chain bags are included to store any unused quality RUD load chain. At the end of the chain, just before the load hook there is a nifty chain buffer to offer great protection to the bottom block/hook and the hoist body as the load moves up and down. Micro limit switches further enhance this protection by preventing the chain from travelling too far.
For overload protection there is a slip clutch which can be adjusted easily. The spring pressure brake will always hold the load securely, even in the event of a power outage. Further safety features include heat sensors which will prevent motor burn out if it gets too hot.
Delta DTS Electric Hoist with Trolley Option
If your hoist will always be used on a beam, such as on a lifting gantry or Jib crane then the Delta DTS electric chain hoist with integral trolley set up would most likely be the best option for you. You can choose from a manual push travel trolley – the cheaper option or the most efficient power drive trolley so that you can quickly and efficiently lift and move your load across the beam with little effort. You can find out all the technical details in the specifications.
Other Electric Chain Hoists
If you would like a similar hoist but smaller in size then take a look at the Delta DEH hoist which has most of the great features discussed above with the added bonus of being readily available. Lifting Hoists Direct has many of the most popular powered hoisting systems from leading brands, some can be purchased directly online, for the others just give us a quick call or drop us an email.
