About the Delta Push Travel Trolley
The Delta push travel beam trolley is able to fit a wide range of I/H beam sizes thanks to the adjustability. They are suitable for steel beam widths from 50mm up to 305mm with the wheels sitting comfortably on the lower flange.
This adjustability means they are quick and easy to install and will be ready to use in seconds. You must always ensure the central, threaded screw adjuster is checked before each use to ensure the trolley remains in the correct position so it can not slip off the beam. The outer wheel flange should sit around 6mm over the edge. It should be tight but not so tight that the wheels don’t turn freely.
The screw pin has opposite screw threads at each side to ensure a tight and secure fit.
In the centre of the screw pin is an open eye to serve as the anchor point for your lifting hoist.
The steel beam where the trolley is fitted will typically be on some type of craning system like a mobile lifting gantry or a Jib crane. However it is also possible to use them in buildings that have exposed structural steel beams like in warehouses and factory units as long as they are strong enough and structurally sound.
Moving the Delta Beam Trolley
Once you have correctly fitted the trolley onto a suitable beam it can be manually pushed across its length. Obviously the beam and trolley will normally be to high up to reach. Therefore it is the usual practice to push on the load hook of the hoist or better still on the load itself in order to move the trolley along You should always use slow and steady movements whilst ensuring the load remains secure. You must never pull the load and trolley, always push and never allow the load to swing.
