Tiger ATEX Chain Block – SS20
The Tiger Atex chain block SS20 incorporates spark proof components to eliminate the risk of ignition to combustible materials and environments. As a category II, high safety product this hoist is suitable for use in ATEX zone 1&2 (gas hazards) and zone 21 & 22 (dust hazards)
Working load limits up to 30000kg or 30 tonnes available.
Tiger ATEX Chain Block Specifics
This manual chain hoist is based on the Tiger SS20 corrosion resistant chain block, however some of the key components have been switched out to copper plated versions in order to make them spark proof. The Tiger PROCB is also available with spark resistant hooks.
The copper plated components are the load hook and suspension hook, load chain guides, grip rings, hand wheels and end anchorage.
Made to the standards of the ATEX directive2014/34/EU and the machinery directive 2006/42/EC you can be assured of the highest quality and protection.
The brake chamber is protected from outside debris ingress and has marine specific friction discs. Stainless steel is used for fixings and fasteners plus there is a stainless steel hand chain and a corrosion protected load chain.
There are a number of optional extras available on request which include overload protection. A chain container and a stainless steel load chain (a de-ration will apply – 1t).
ATEX Chain Block and Trolley Combination
The Tiger ATEX chain block – SS20 can be paired with a spark resistant push travel or geared beam trolley so that beam traversing is available for moving loads.
The Tiger ATEX beam trolley incorporates solid bronze wheels and copper plated hoist anchor point hanging plate. If the geared travel model is chosen this has a copper plated hand wheel. Rubber buffers are included and the body has a corrosion protection coating.
There is also the option of a beam locking device for optimum safety.

More ATEX Rated Hoisting Equipment
